DramAtiC WitH mDm Ong & patiEnT...

hm.. today work morning shift.. as for business.. quite all rite ba.. still manageable cuz there are 5 of us plus 3 seniors with us.. funny is that when i was doing my parameter halfway, my senior came to tell me that she got nothing to do so i gave up e parameter to her n went to find my patient instead.. sort of come at the right time lor.. my tis patient, she is mentally unsound n been in out of IMH for upteen times.. den she thought that she is in alexandra village.. haiz.. had a hard time convince her back to bed for breakfast cuz she kept telling me bout stories.. den suddenly when she knows that her son is coming to see her, she thought she is discharged.. so she went to change back her home clothes n i asked her where is she going.. and she answered: this is my personal choice whether to go anywhere.. but luckily, the ward sister came to stalk her together with her son n finally she is back to bed for a while.. haiz..~~

At that moment i was being called up by my friend to help in translation because the patient just newly admitted and only understand mandarin.. n she seems very anxious and scared.. so i tried to settle her down.. den a while later, the staff nurse wanted her to take medicine but the patient refused.. so me n my other friends tried to pursue her but failed.. haha.. in the end, my friend call for mdm ong.. n the funny part started.. mdm ong poses as a doctor to try convince her but still she refused.. n the patient keep wanting me to give her phone to call her daughter.. so no choice i took out my phone.. den my teacher tells me to call her number den she will acts as her daughter over the phone.. and my teacher just hide behind the curtain n talk to her over phone to ask her take medicine n tell her she will be coming over this evening.. but in the end, the patient seems slightly doubted... hehe.. but actually it sounds quite convincing.. but hor, one of my friend keep giggling away in front of her.. so i guess the patient sense something is nt right.. but ok la.. at least it works lor.. the patient drinks the medication at last.. aiyo.. really dramatic sia.. think back of it is really funny.. but sometime, we nurses, really need to coax them using different tactics...

Den about 1.30pm, all of us went for group meeting.. discuss bout the farewell party for mdm ong, wat to get for her, wat we get for the ward and blah blah blah.. nothing special den.. went back home and sleep till now.. hehe.. but still very tired!! shoulder ache!! haiz... i think i myself likes to build a positive relations with my teacher, n only that i can feel the attached n will be much more motivated.. so after the touching sight with mdm ong, i felt much happier and excited when i saw her tis morning.. like as if she is my dear sister like tt.. :D And this is called "bonding"..
